MacSpeech Dictate with Snow Leopard

Apple has recently released their new OS 10.6 - Snow Leopard. Whilst this is great news for mac users in that the system is faster and more reliable, they have substantially changed the way it interacts with third party programs. As such MacSpeech Dictate has run into a couple of compatibility issues. Users of v1.3 will find that it does not work period, and MacSpeech have announced an update to allow the software to work unsupported, and functionality limited (Read more for further information and links)

MacSpeech 1.5 Free Upgrades
On 20th July, 2009

For customers who have registered MacSpeech Dictate v1.3 or earlier on or after 1st April 2009, you will have received an email notification from MacSpeech that you are entitled to a free upgrade to Version 1.5. As there have been several hundreds to process, we apologise for the delay. We have reached the stage where most entitlements have been processed and are in transit to you now.

As a small percentage of customers did not complete the registration section for MacSpeech Dictate v1.3 correctly, we may not have Delivery details ie full addresses.  These customers will receive an email requiring confirmation of delivery details at some point in time. If you have been advised that you are entitled to a free upgrade and have not received your upgrade, then you may fall into this category of customers.  If this is the case then register your entitlement at http://www.macspeech.com/extensions/registration/freeup.php . We will process your entitlement as soon as we received the information.

MacSpeech Dictate - Updated Data Disc

A small number of customers who are experiencing difficulty creating user profiles in MacSpeech Dictate, may have received a faulty data disc.
MacSpeech has instituted a quick fix, please go here for more information.
